This wedding was just as dreamy as a diary entry you could’ve written as a teen.

I couldn’t have imagined a better first wedding, I mean seriously everything went amazingly. No exaggeration. My bride, Haley was a true queen all day. I told my husband (the most AMAZING assistant ever) when we left that I wish I could have been that chill on our wedding day. HA!

Not even going to lie here, I was NERVOUS. With this being my first wedding I obviously wanted everything to go amazingly with no kinks because honestly I don’t give myself much room for error (thank you anxiety). But in this Case, yes thank you anxiety. Because there were two crucial parts of my first wedding being a success. 1. Preparation & 2. A badass assistant (more on that later). Most of my preparation came from over analyzing my brides wedding day Itinerary. By the way Haley, it was amazing & ever so helpful, I will forever use it as a guide! I made myself a fancy little note card ring with laminated note cards of the Entire Days plan. I may have looked like a dummy walking around with my note cards but if you know me you know I truly don’t care 😎. I made my own photo itinerary that correlated with the wedding timeline and i organized all my posing prompts by category. Thank Goodness for prompts because I love a genuine reaction! I can never be the “say cheese” photographer.

Unfortunately for my husband he was the best assistant ever so now he will be my right hand man for every single wedding! No, but seriously he had a great time and we worked together so well. I swear he can read my mind! I can’t imagine how the day would have gone without him. He kept me on my toes all day and didn’t let me miss a shot! He actually reminded me of many shots I had planned on getting But was so busy brained to remember them all. He studied my notes cards the night before after finding out i needed him as an assistant and he aced his test for sure! He was called “hype man” multiple times!

Another person that made my job much smoother was the wedding coordinator, Ashlyn. This girl rocked her role! She ran the day so well & it was obvious she had done her studying as well! The videographer, Dylan was super easy to work with as well! We worked along side one another so well to make the day come together & I can’t wait to see his footage I know it’s going to be crazy amazing!

Now, the real reason we’re here, Devon & Haley. These two clearly have the strongest love for each other! It was so amazing and surreal being behind the scenes of the entire day and being able to see both the bride & grooms raw emotions on such a huge day of their lives. I have no idea if these two have had storms to weather together or not, but I can easily see that if/when they do, they won’t budge. I had tears in my eyes listening to Haley read Devon’s letter to her & just the same as he read hers. He said before reading it “I don’t cry”.

yeah.

Their day was full of fun & love, and a little saddness. They dedicated a part of their day to remember some very special people that are no longer here on Earth with us. . And I have to say, they honored them beautifully.
